Why does everyone assume

That just because Finn asked Rachel to marry him, they are gonna go right out and get hitched?

People stay engaged for YEARS. They dont have to get married until they are damn good and ready.

Finns asking to let him love her and only her. For now and forever. Not “Hey lets go get married right now. RIGHT Now.” Hes asking for her to let him be hers, and vice versa. Finn doesnt have anything right now. He doesnt know his future, his past and what he built himself on just got torn down in an afternoon. The one thing thats stayed constant? His love for Rachel.

Just because he asked, and when if she says yes, then they are engaged, not signing the paperwork right there. Chill the hell out with all that ‘No’ because theyre too young bullshit.
